More Than Retention: Connecting Purpose, Engagement, and Succession

Presented by:

Joshua Kwasnicki - Eckerd Connects

In today’s workplace, engagement isn’t just about satisfaction; it’s about connection, growth, and a clear path forward.

In this engaging and thought-provoking keynote, participants will explore how connecting staff to purpose and mission can serve as a powerful driver of engagement, while also strengthening the organization’s future through intentional succession planning. Rather than treating engagement and succession as separate strategies, this session brings them together in a practical, people-centered way.

Attendees will walk away with a deeper understanding of how to more intentionally develop their teams, why the absence of a clear succession plan creates real risk, and how purpose-driven work directly impacts retention and commitment. The session will also offer practical, accessible ideas that leaders at all levels can begin applying immediately.

Whether you lead a team, support talent development, or influence organizational culture, this session will leave you thinking differently about how you engage your people and how you prepare them for what’s next.
